The demon known as Khara was blessed with special powers from Lord Shiva. He could turn his enemies in to ashes by simply placing his hand over their head. He started abusing his powers and became a great risk to even the gods. Sensing an impending danger, Lord Vishnu (the strategist) took an avatar of an extremely seductive woman named Mohini—the avatar was blessed with mystic powers from Lord Shiva too. She eventually managed to have Khara place his hand over his own head and destroy himself in the process. Shiva was happy with the outcome and is said to have embraced Mohini. Read less
