Kufri

If you fancy a yak ride or skiing on snowy slopes, then head 13 km from Shimla towards Himachal Pradesh’s winter sports capital, Kufri. With its stunning views of white peaks and snow-laden conifers, this picturesque hill station is perched at an altitude of 2622 m, and popular among ski enthusiasts and trekkers. Some of the most popular treks to Manali, Shimla, Rewalsar and Fagu start from Kufri. It is also a part of the Golden Triangle of Himachal Pradesh, along with Chail and Shimla. The town’s major attractions include the Himalayan Nature Park, Mahasu Peak and Kufri Fun World.
