Srirangapatna is a town in Mandya district of the Indian state of Karnataka. Situated near the city of Mysore, it has a great spiritual, cultural and historic significance. Geographically, Srirangapatna is a rocky island formed by Cauvery River. This island is dotted with numerous historic and religious monuments. The Bangalore-Mysore road (SH17) passes right through the Srirangapatna Island.
