The high altitude regions in the hill state of Uttarakhand are covered in deep snow these days. A number of destinations here are receiving continuous snowfall, which has brought life to a standstill. However, life goes on and so did this groom along with his baraat to get his bride.
This is when the groom, all beautifully dressed up in his shaadi attire, decided to walk all the way in hills with an umbrella. The wedding ceremony was performed in the village of Luntara with heavy snowfall all around.
The winter months are really tough in the hilly regions. More so in case of weddings and medical emergencies, when it gets absolutely difficult for people to cope up with heavy snowfall. It also affects the routine life of locals both financially and socially.
In a similar incident, an Indian army soldier was reported stranded in the valley of Kashmir because of heavy snowfall and had to miss his own wedding! The army jawan was supposed to get married in Himachal’s Mandi district for his wedding that was scheduled on Thursday. The baraat was all ready to leave for Mandi but the soldier groom could not turn up.
