A suburb of Trivandrum, the pier here is something truly extraordinary. This used to be a port once upon a time, and today it is just a barren seaside wonder. The pier here is about 200 m long, and is blissful to say the least. One of the best experiences one can have here is to visit the pier in the evenings to witness the sunset. Also there is St Anthony’s Forane Church that was established in the year 1530, and is proof of ancient Travancore’s seven centuries of Christian heritage. Valiathura is definitely a quiet place in the city where you can come across some wonders that are rare to find.
