Wonderful neighbouring countries that offer easy visas to Indians
From Sri Lanka to Thailand and Vietnam to Cambodia, these countries in India's neighbourhood offer easy visa-on-arrival and/or e-visa to Indian passport holders. If you are planning an easy, quick international trip from India, this is for you, sans any visa hassles.
Indonesia
Indonesia is one of the most-visited countries for Indian travellers. Its familiar culture and rituals, inviting locals, jaw-dropping sceneries, luxury resorts and hotels, make it a huge hit with visitors. Moreover, Indonesia also offers easy visa-on-arrival to Indian passport holders.
Indians can get get a visa-on-arrival for 30 days, which can be further extended by 30 days, for Indonesia.
Laos
Indian passport holders planning to visit the wonderland that is Laos can easily get a visa-on-arrival (VOA). A VOA for Laos is issued for 30 days, issued to travellers who hold an Indian passport that is valid for at least 6 months from their time of entry in the country. Some ports of entry in Laos also offer e-visa for Indians.
Maldives
Indian citizens can easily get a free visa-on-arrival to the Maldives. The island country is one of the most-visited countries in the world and lures with its pristine, white sand beaches, tranquil waters, overwater villas, a very rich marine life and more. When they say, there is no place like this, we mean it.
Myanmar
Myanmar offers e-visa to Indian passport holders, and one can apply for the same online and get it stamped at the time of entry in Myanmar. It assures holders a stay in Myanmar for 28 days, and the e-visa approval letter is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance.
Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is one of the most beautiful countries around India, so close that you simply cannot skip it! India passport holders need to apply for Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorization ( Sri Lanka ETA) online prior to their visit, and get their e-visa. Indians can also choose from double entry and multiple entry visas to Sri Lanka, and both come with a validity of six months and stay validity for 30 days in the country.
Thailand
Thailand is another country that Indian travellers love visiting; there's just so much to explore here! Indian citizens can apply for an e-visa for Thailand; a single entry visa for Thailand comes with a validity of six months from the date of issuance and 60 days of stays for those on a traveller visa.
Vietnam
Indian citizens can easily apply for a e-visa online to visit Vietnam. One needs to have a passport that is valid for at least six months from their intended date of arrival to apply for Vietnam tourist visa. A tourist visa to Vietnam is usually valid for 15/30 days and can be further renewed for 30 days as well.
