A day trip to the waterfall is a great getaway from the hustle bustle of Zürich, to take a dive into the beautiful countryside. The scenic drive passes through rolling vineyards and charming villages. The medieval castle Laufen Schloss Laufen towers over the Rhine falls. The viewing platform enables unobstructed panorama of the waterfall and surrounding vistas. You can climb up to the observatory by foot using the Belvedere Trail or get transported to the top in a glass panoramic lift. A boat trip all the way to the Rhine Fall is the best way to marvel the glory of the 25 m tall water drop during the summer months.
