If you go by the adage of when in Rome do as the Romans do, dining at 9’INE Native Cuisine is a must. Special Sikkimese meals are their USP with choices that include gundruk (fermented vegetable soup), kinema (soyabean curry), thukpa, maachoo (cottage cheese gravy) and Sikkimese pork curry. Food is made on order (as opposed to being partially pre-prepared) and is thus surprisingly fresh. Apart from the local cuisine, you can also try out the typical north Indian dishes. Go for the window-side seats in the dining area since these allow you to pore over the buzz of MG Marg and is great for some people-watching.
