Al Arish

Tucked away in the Al Dhafra Tourist Village near Mina Zayed Fish Market in Abu Dhabi, the Al Arish has been famous for being one of the first restaurants to serve the most authentic Emirati cuisine. Designed in tune with the menu, this good old place boasts of flamboyant interiors and traditional Arabian decor with barasti (palm-leaf) ceiling and hand-carved furniture. The restaurant has been a favourite among both locals and travellers over the decades.While the restaurant’s menu has an array of salads, starters and traditional regional favourites, the lunch buffet of this place offers the best opportunity for a traveller to sample some of the popular local favourites, including ouzi (baked lamb) and majboos (chicken baked in rice).
