The two-storey Deira behemoth specialises in Iraqi home cooking. The decor is nothing special, but that doesn't stop the place from filling up most evenings. Though kebabs and Arabic mezze abound, the real star of the show is the masgouf, a whole barbecued fish cooked over a bonfire.
The meaty cod comes out moist and smokey, served with fresh baked flat bread, mango chutney and lemon. The succulent dish is one of the most authentic dining experiences in town, and it's perfect fodder for large groups.
