This is the sort of place you might walk past without even noticing it. The exterior is a little tired and shabby, but it's a big draw with locals, especially for being one of the few places in Trastevere that hasn't bumped up the prices for tourists.
More than being just budget-friendly, it serves up good food, great coffee and gets buzzing by night with the usual arty types drawn by good prices. This is an ideal place to unwind after a long day or warm up for a long night.
