Moksa

Moksa is a vegetarian restaurant nestled in lush greenery just outside Ubud. Moksa is an interesting and innovative place as it has its own permaculture garden, and all the dishes are freshly prepared using seasonal produce from their permaculture garden.
The restaurant serves a mix of raw and cooked vegetarian delicacies like raw cashew cheese lasagna, jackfruit mignon, zucchini fettuccine, tofu laksa with healthy juices and elixirs, local teas, coffees and even organic wines. The team at Moksa are dedicated to creating a whole experience, not just that of a restaurant, but to awaken the senses and create awareness of permaculture and sustainable practices both for people and plants. They also have cooking classes, a farmer’s market where you can pick up organic produce and artisan goods, a deli, boutique, and what they call a ‘Dojo area’ which is a space for holding community gatherings, music, and workshops. It can be a little hard to find the place, but it’s worth it.
