If you love the quaint, it’s easy to appreciate this family-run coffee shop, located in a listed building built in 1752. Take in the wooden water-wheel outside—arguably one of Ireland’s largest. The menu changes in the cosy Coffee House, but you can expect home fare-like scones freshly made each morning, savoury mince pies, vegetarian quiche, home-made desserts and cakes. While you wait for your order to arrive, pop into the gift shop. There’s a range of whimsical accessories to inspire creative giving— willow-tree angels, permutations of jewellery, toiletries from Heathcote and Ivory, and so forth.
