Giani's, the chain of ice-cream parlours was started from this quaint corner on the road leading from St. Stephen's Church towards Khari Baoli. The shop was started by Giani Gurcharan Singh who had to leave his hometown, Lyallpur, after partition and took root in the walled city. The shop began with their trademark kulfi falooda and rabri and then diversified into shakes and ice-creams. What started as a small shop is today a collection to counters stretching across a few metres today. In winters, its worth visiting this shop for some piping hot dal ka halwa or gajar ka halwa. Try their chholey bhature and lassi as well, in case you're on a chholey bhature trail of Delhi.
