This place has to be the epitome of food and cultural heritage not only of Amritsar but also of India’s history. Founded back in year 1916 in Sheikhupura (now in Pakistan), Kesar Da Dhaba is a slice straight out of modern India’s history book. Names of eminent personalities like Lala Lajpat Rai and Jawahar Lal Nehru have been recorded in its visitors book. Kesar Da Dhaba was shifted to Amritsar post India’s partition in 1947 and since then its journey has been a walk down the glory lane. Featured in many leading travel and lifestyle magazines and channels, this place serves exclusive mouth watering cuisines with the traditional Punjabi flavour. The two air conditioned halls here can host 150 guests. The main course menu here includes food items like dal fry, chana fry, palak paneer, shahi paneer, malai kofta and various types of rotis and paranthas. They also have four different types of thalis (assortment of many items) and many mouth watering desserts.
