Three Monkeys

Located in Ubud, Three Monkeys is one of the most popular restaurants in Bali. It has an extensive menu that includes both international dishes as well as Indonesian and Balinese ones. Although the menu is inspired by international cuisine, the setting is 100% local and indeed, it is located in the midst of the famous rice paddies of Ubud. The environment is simply fantastic—a lush garden, a fantastic view, a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, where jazz music plays in the background, and a romantic setting for special occasions. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Three Monkeys is rightly famous for its delicious home-baked pastries and excellent coffees. The healthy yet tasty salads and wraps make for a perfect lunch. And for dinner, you can gorge on Balinese specialties such as the smoked chicken or tuck into a fantastic steak with grilled vegetables. Desserts are decadent, especially the chocolate hazelnut pate that is served with vanilla ice-cream and mango. Needless to say, service is spot on. Definitely worth trying.
