On December 16, 2020, Divyanshu Batra inaugurated his tea joint on GMS Road in Dehradun after suffering a heartbreak during the lockdown.
Sharing his sad love story with a leading daily, Batra said that he had a girlfriend from his high school days. But her parents were against their relationship, so they broke up last year.
“I was depressed for about six months and spent my time playing only PUBG," he said.
But then, he decided to make the most of this. He holds a BSc degree in Computer Sciences and said that he has opened the cafe with his savings. When he shared the idea with his father, he was a little skeptical but his mother was supportive. He said that his father did not like the name of the cafe.
One day his father's friend praised the cafe not knowing whose it is! He talked in lengths about how good the ambiance and food is at the newly-opened chai centre. Divyanshu says that It was this incident that changed his father’s mind towards the cafe.
Batra wants all the heartbroken people to stay positive and make something out of it. With this cafe, he wants to help such people. He said, "Everyone in their life goes through this phase. Hence, I wanted them to come here and share their tales and the pain in their heart so I can help them overcome this and move on".
