La Casa de Bea

Located on the outskirts of Lima in the La Molina district, lies a restaurant with a personality of its own. A family run restaurant, the La Casa de Bea is the home of the owners and you have to ring their doorbell to gain entry. There are no markings or signboards to give evidence of their presence. The place is not very big and can fit around 20 people. Reserving a table before hand is a good idea because they stay quite full, especially over the weekends. The cosy and warm interiors make you feel as though you are visiting family—it does not feel like a restaurant at all. The homely environment is very welcoming and the friendly and cheerful staff add their bit to it. The food they serve is scrumptious. They offer a varied menu, which is mostly international in flavour, but local Peruvian influence is evident too. Set menus are also available. Their food is mainly vegan and organic and a god sent for the health conscious folk. The desserts are to die for! We recommend the chocolate cake and the Black Forest.
This congenial restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sunday (12:30 to 4:30 pm). They are open to take bookings for groups or even for parties. In case you find the place full on reaching, just get your food packed and carry it along with you. There is no dress code and you’re welcome to arrive in casual clothing if you so choose. Although the restaurant isn’t really centrally located, the food at La Casa de Bea more than makes up for this inconvenience. Go there to enjoy the delicious spread that they offer.
