Located in the upscale Gion district of Kyoto, Kikunoi is a sublime restaurant serving paramount Japanese food that has been loved by travellers from all over the globe. Despite being a possessor of three Michelin stars, Kikunoi continues to remain a humble eatery serving delicious fare that looks really good at the same time. With tatami rooms overlooking a picturesque pond, its atmosphere is rejuvenating and menu focuses on the freshest produce available as per season. In fact, there are five elaborate menus that have been ranked according to price with the highest featuring handpicked exotic (and extremely expensive) ingredients. And you know the owners and chefs put their heart and soul into what they do because these menus keep changing on a daily basis.
