If you would like to take a glimpse at the seedy underbelly of Phnom Penh, city’s long-running Pontoon nightclub is a good place to do just that. If you would like to take a glimpse at the seedy underbelly of Phnom Penh, city’s long-running Pontoon nightclub is a good place to do just that.
Pontoon is a proper nightclub—three large rooms, usually with three different types of music playing in each. If you don’t mind the fact that Pontoon is a serious pickup joint, just take a look at the crowd of greying Western men and young local women in high heels and mini-skirts—then you can have a great time partying to the early hours. And if it’s not to your taste—there are plenty of others bars and clubs just a stone’s throw away. Pontoon has been a bit of a Phnom Penh institution for a long time, and if you are looking for a night out to laugh at (with a sore head) the next day, this is the spot.
To dance to thumping tunes, to reach for the lasers, and to watch the crowd of balding old and their local companions!
