One of the most famous Balinese restaurants in Bali (they also have a branch in Seminyak) is Made’s Warung. Since 1969, Made’s Warung has become a popular eating and meeting venue for the locals, expats as well as tourists. It has grown from a traditional roadside warung into a more upmarket and cosmopolitan restaurant nowadays that serves an excellent variety of local Balinese food as well as a good selection of Western and international dishes. Locals love it so you know it’s good, authentic Balinese food and it is a popular place for tourists to come and enjoy authentic, local cuisine in a nice atmosphere.Made’s Warung now has four locations in Kuta, Seminyak, Benoa and even at the airport. These restaurants are a great place to try all Indonesian dishes; they have a special buffet and set menus that are a great way to try lots of Indonesian and Balinese delicacies.
Made’s Warung can also make the famous Bebek Betutu and Babi Guling if you give them a day’s advance notice. The Burbur Ayam (rice porridge chicken) is another of Made’s specialities and the Nasi Goreng and Satay are also especially good. They also have a special vegetarian menu that clearly states the ingredients used, making this place great and safe for vegetarians or those who have allergies to try Balinese food.
