Hilltop hotel is closest to the Gondola base station and hence is very convenient for Gondola rides. The hotel is conveniently located near the ice skating rink and overlooks the golf course making it a popular place to stay in. The property was established in 1983 and is located at the base of a hill popularly known as the monkey hill in skiing circles.
Rooms are oddly shaped, but are reasonably good and have a view of the golf course. Rooms are centrally heated and have running hot water. In addition, Wi-Fi internet is available in all rooms as are LCD TVs with DTH.
The food at Hilltop is good and what I have personally enjoyed is the generous servings. That kind of food is certainly needed after a day spent outdoors in Gulmarg. The hotel also has a fast food restaurant which serves pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, soup, shakes and other such items. If you’re in the mood for Chinese food, head to Chopstick restaurant at the hotel.
Facilities at the Hilltop include a business centre equipped with a photocopy machine, courier services, internet facilities, fax and computers.
