Overlooking the blue waters of the Bay of Bengal, and occupying space on the world's last outpost of virgin rain-forest islands, Fortune Resort Bay Island offers you absolutely stunning accommodation just a short five km from the international airport. Constructed almost entirely from the wood of the Andaman Padouk tree (found only on the Andaman & Nicobar Islands), the resort offers a total of 45 rooms and is perched at the top of a hill close to the main bazaar. The rooms are split amongst different levels against a sloping hill side, offering diverse views. Their open deck restaurant called Mandalay offers fresh and deliciously prepared seafood with splendid views of the sea, and the in-house bar mixes some of the best cocktails on the island. When you’re not taking in the beautiful surroundings, keep yourself entertained at the sea-water swimming pool, the private movie theatre, the library or get in a game of darts, table-tennis or badminton to shrug off the inertia.
