The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald might not be the first hotel that a family thinks of when they search for a child-friendly accommodation in Edmonton; but contrary to popular belief, this hotel is actually family friendly. This luxury hotel offers an incredible wealth of extras for families with kids. Upon check in, kids will receive a welcome kit including a colouring book, crayons and more. Connecting rooms are available on request, besides amenities such as rollaway beds, pull-out sofas and cribs. Kids will love the large swimming pool complete with a wading pool full of toys. Parents can relax in the whirlpool while keeping an eye on the kids in the pool room. One unique feature of this hotel is the free bike rental program wherein both children and adult bikes are available for borrowing for a day. Dining is easy with kids here, where kids 5 and under eat free from the children’s menu while children from 6 to 11 years eat at half price from the regular menu.
