Hotel Aldan

Hotel Aldan offers peaceful accommodation in sylvan surroundings. It is set in two adjacent historic buildings in the village of Seydisfjordur. Don’t let the isolated location fool you—all the rooms are extremely comfortable and have TVs, Wi-Fi and good showers. The spacious rooms have rustic wooden furnishings that add to the historic character of the hotel. Hotel Aldan is a family-run business and this is reflected in the attention to detail. Everything is preened to perfection. Their in-house restaurant is amazing. It dishes out delicious Icelandic cuisine prepared from seasonal and local ingredients. There is a ski centre and a public swimming pool close by. It’s also possible to go sailing, angling or kayaking. Parking is free and we would definitely recommend renting a car to explore the area.
