Parakeet Resort is a government owned property in Kurukshetra. A couple of hundred meters from Pipli bus-stand, it's located on National Highway 1. It is one of the very few good places in Kurukshetra where non-vegetarian food is served, and alcohol is served. Parakeet Resort is a government owned property in Kurukshetra. A couple of hundred meters from Pipli bus-stand, it's located on National Highway 1. It is one of the very few good places in Kurukshetra where non-vegetarian food is served, and alcohol is served. The most distinguishing feature of this resort is that its rooms are very spacious as compared to the other rooms in the city, and that too in the same price range.This resort has 15 standard double rooms and hence, a capacity to accommodate maximum 30 guests. Tariff being a bit higher, this place is not recommended for students and backpackers. However, it is an excellent choice for family and business travellers. On regular days, they experience 60% occupancy, and mainly host in-transit guests. Amenities provided are towels, toiletries, LCD TV, hot water, Wi-Fi, cupboards, room service, mini-fridge, parking facility, and telephone service. The public areas are under CCTV camera coverage. A receptionist is available from 7 am -11 pm, after which a security guard is there for support.
The resort also has a big beautiful private park where guests can spend some quality time, or go for a jog and yoga session early in the morning. Tau Devi Lal Park, one of the biggest parks in Haryana, is located behind the resort. There is also a fast food joint, a bar, a restaurant, grocery shop, an ATM, and a confectionary shop in the premises. The Conference Hall of the Parakeet Resort can accommodate up to 100 guests at one time.
