Built in 1931, The Imperial hotel was once the meeting place for political leaders like Gandhi, Nehru, Jinnah and Mountbatten. Eight decades later, the hotel still retains its grandeur with Italian marble floors, Burmese teak and rosewood furniture, high ceilings, spacious gardens and superb restaurants. It also has a large collection of 2500 original prints and paintings by colonial artists such as the Danielle brothers, which are on display in every corner of the hotel. With a string of awards to its credit, it is now considered to be one of the most regal and stylish properties in Delhi. Standing out from the multitude because of its imposing colonial architecture, decadent interiors and faultless service, this is definitely a landmark hotel in the city. Thanks to its prime location in central Delhi's spacious environs, The Imperial has a loyal clientele to show for its excellent hospitality.
