There is a lot of delicious food to be found in Thamel and no, I’m not talking about those over-priced expat-owned establishments serving foreign cuisine. I’m talking about Nepalese locals who run their own amazingly delicious and in expensive restaurants throughout Thamel. Many are small hole-in-the-walls with only a handful of tables or are hidden down side alleys. Some you’ve probably walked right past without even noticing. One even got so much local attention that Discovery Channel tried to film there. But all are delicious.
