Known for years as "The Home of the Blues", Antone's is now also home to country, bluegrass and alt-rock. Founded by Clifford Antone in 1975, the club has survived several address changes, as well as Antone's passing in 2006. A lifelong blues fanatic with an encyclopedic knowledge of the genre, Antone played host to blues icons such as Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker, and gave Stevie Ray Vaughan a place to develop his craft.
