Bar des Halles Saint-Géry
Drink and a dance in a heritage building
Noteworthy for: This unique venue has a giant obelisk at its centre, which marks the point from which all distances in Belgium are measured.

Gallery by day and bar by night, this popular bar is set in a former market hall in Place Saint-Gery. In the afternoon, it's filled with young professionals and arty types who come to admire the exhibits as they sip on a frothy latte.
Come nightfall, the tempo is cranked up and the atmosphere is pumping, as the DJs start spinning house, funk and electro beats in the basement. On the ground floor, the vibe is more chilled, with couples and small groups enjoying a drink, surrounded by the splendour of the late 19th century architecture of the Halles Saint-Géry.
