The incredibly popular Barfly is one of Moscow’s best places for a night of cut price underground drinking. Dozens of tables are crammed into the various grey concrete chambers of this bunker bar, and no matter the hour, it fills up.

The drinks menu focuses largely on cocktails, which despite being half the standard Moscow price, are still strong and flavoursome.

Weekday nights spent holed up here – listening to 1990s grunge music with new friends – are as equally fun as the weekends when it is so cramped you can barely squeeze in the door.
