Bourbon & Branch

There’s been a revival of sorts of speakeasy-style bars cities in American, but none are quite in the league of super secret speakeasy Bourbon & Branch. There are no less than five different bars hidden inside Bourbon & Branch, but most people have never been to all of them.

Four of the bars (the Wilson & Wilson, the Main Bar, the Library, and Russell’s) require passwords for entry, but you’ll get these when you make a reservation. We recommend checking out the Wilson & Wilson, which is located behind a fake detective agency shop-front at 505 Jones St. Access to the bar is through a secret door near the bathroom in Bourbon & Branch (you’ll need a reservation which can be made on the website).
The speakeasy bars offer carefully crafted cocktails (no food is available however). The rooms are ambient and dark, with great music. The cocktail list is extensive, the staff is helpful, and most cocktails are pretty reasonably priced, around $12 to $15 each.
