The name of this discotheque might be a bit grim with its connection to World War II (Kamikaze refers to the Japanese air war technique of hitting an enemy territory with planes loaded with explosives); but make no mistake about the fact that this is one of Guwahati’s best places to party and have a great time with friends. A happy union between a pub and a disco, Kamikaze is a floating party haven located in the Uzan bazar area of Guwahati.
It is built on a medium sized ferry that remains afloat over the waters of Brahmaputra but don’t worry about your safety after partying late in to the night. The ferry is moored to the banks and is secured by alert bar security staff. This feature remains the USP of this place and is the major pull for visitors who hit this disco on a regular basis. Kamikaze has a well stocked liquor cabinet with an array of Indian and international spirits along with a food menu that flaunts mouthwatering starters and main courses. The average cost for one person comes to around Rs 500–700 and this is a good deal for a night out on a ferry with delectable food, fine liquor and some foot–tapping music!
