Buck Island
A beautiful little island which can be called a Caribbean Gem, Buck Island is an adventurer’s paradise. The island is also known as Buck Island Reef National Monument, and it has 284.8 hectares of underwater marine habitat. The island, along with its surrounding coral reef, is known to support a variety of flora and fauna. Interestingly, it is one of the few places here in the U.S Virgin Islands where you will find the majestic brown pelicans, and also least terns nest. Here on the island, you get an opportunity to swim as well.
Christiansted National Historic Site
Established in 1952, the Christiansted National Historic Site is a lesson in the history of islands. Visitors can see fascinating structures dating back to the 18th and 19th century, and understand the Danish economy and way of life here between 1733 and 1917. The fort here at the park was constructed in 1738, and it protected the place from robbers. You can get stupendous views from the Steeple Building here. A great relic of history, it is a must-visit.
Magens Bay
Located in St. Thomas here on the Virgin Islands, Magens Bay is one of the finest holiday destinations here. Perfect for families, couples, or groups, Magens Bay is a pristine wonderland that is really a vacationing paradise. The entry to Magens Bay is free of charge, and the first thing that you notice is the calm waters here. Those of you who want to experience water sports, the Magens Bay is perfect for snorkelling and kayaking. You could also rent paddle boats and drift away into the sunset. The place also has restaurants and bars, so stop for a drink, or enjoy a hot meal here.
Admiralty Dive Center
It is not just a great place for scuba diving adventures, but also a place where you could acquire a scuba diving certification. The Admiralty Dive Center is one of the most profound experiences in the Virgin Islands. You get to go to the best diving spots here, with more than 100 locations in St. Thomas. You can finally get to see aquatic life up, close, and personal, thanks to Admiralty Dive Center. There are some beginner’s courses that you can take up as well.
Paradise Point
Paradise Point is one of the most popular destinations here on the U.S. Virgin Islands, located above Charlotte Amalie town. The main attraction here is the Skyride to Paradise Point, which takes you 213 m up and above the town of Charlotte Amalie. The Skyride takes passengers every 7 minutes on this adventurous journey, and once you reach Paradise Point, the view of the harbour is extraordinary from here. You can also have an amazing dining experience up top on Paradise Point.
Virgin Islands National Forest
An American National Park with incredible hiking trails through tropical forests, Virgin Islands National Forest is located in Cruz Bay. Established back in August 1956, this is an unworldly paradise, with rolling green hills, and clear waters below. It’s yet another great place known for amazing scuba diving experience, while its beaches are some of the best in the world. This is also home to one of the most romantic beaches in the Caribbean, the Honeymoon Beach.
