Tucked into a corner of Logan Square, Longman & Eagle stocks a staggering 300 whiskeys, from recognizable favorites to rare, mortgage-equivalent expensive bottles from craft distillers around the world, with 38 available for tasting each day. Try the ‘flights’ of whiskey tasters arranged by variety or taste, from local bourbons and ryes to fine scotches and ultra-rare Japanese varieties.
Come for the whiskey, but stay for the food - the Michelin-starred kitchen is what really keeps the exposed brick-and-timber room buzzing. The crowd is always diverse, from middle-aged men with taste to yuppies and hipsters willing to flash a bit of cash.
