Ahead of its release on June 15, 2018, Race 3 superstar Salman Khan recently wrote a tweet thanking Jammu and Kashmir Tourism for facilitating the shoot of the movie. "Thank you Jammu and Kashmir Tourism for all the support and the wonderful experience for 'Race 3'," Salman tweeted on Tuesday sharing a picture of him posing with co-star Jacqueline Fernandez in Sonamarg.

The cast of Race 3 including Salman have shot some scenes for the film in Sonamarg hill station. The movie has been directed by Remo D’Souza.
However, it is not the first time Salman has received applause-worthy reception from J&K. Earlier, the Dabangg star shot for Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan for more than two weeks in Sonamarg. Again, in May 2018, the Race 3 stars shot for some sequences of the movie in the cold climes of Leh-Ladakh. Quite naturally, Sonamarg and Leh-Ladakh is popular among Bollywood directors and actors as a shooting destination.
Known as India’s Switzerland, Sonamarg is an abode of natural beauty. It has the majestic river Sindh, warm locals and several sightseeing spots like the Thajawass Glacier, Baltal and Zojila Pass. The way to Zero Point, which falls on the Srinagar-Leh road, is breathtakingly beautiful. As for Leh and Ladakh, the more these twin destinations are praised for their beauty, the less it seems. Being remotely located, Leh and Ladakh exude another-worldly, irresistible charm.
