Noteworthy for: Cabaret Voltaire was voted Nightclub of the Year at the DSLT Awards, as well as being named in the Top 100 clubs in the world by 'DJ Magazine'.

Talk of the town: Re-fitted by leisure giants G1 in February, so far they seem to have kept the essence alive and just given it a fresh lick of paint.
Edinburgh is packed with underground venues, but none with an atmosphere as electric as The Cabaret Voltaire. An underground cavern open seven days a week, this thriving venue in the vaults hosts local live bands and international DJs playing every genre of dance music.

Grab a drink in the bar, which serves cocktails in teacups with cosy booths, before heading to the sprawling subterranean dance space downstairs. There are cool nooks and crannies to explore and a speakeasy style room to retreat to if the dance floor gets too much.
