Special trains to Visakhapatnam have been introduced to aid people travelling to this part of the country. With the arrival of winters, people have started planning holidays to places having moderate temperature and charming weather and Vishakhapatnam is one of those highly visited destinations. Keeping this in mind, the Indian Railways has come up with some special winter plans for the travellers visiting the city.
1) Visakhapatnam-Tirupati special express train (08573), which is a weekly, will now run from 1st January to 26th February every Monday at 11 PM. The returning train (08574) will leave every Tuesday at 3.30 PM and run from 2nd January to 27th February.

There are several people heading out to discover the warmer side of the country during the peak winter season. Places like Goa, Tirupati, Hyderabad, Rajasthan and other beach destinations with comparatively warmer weather, remain crowded with travellers and explorers, while adventurous souls head out to ice cool destinations in Himachal or Uttarakhand. Snowfall too has hit several regions of the country and during honeymoon season, these places are just amazing!
We all know tourism is at its peak during winters and this absolutely works in the favour of beach destinations and South Indian regions of the country. Visakhapatnam, with its pristine beaches, always remains in demand during this time and is visited by a number of hungry travellers. And to meet the increasing demand of travellers, East Coast Railway has decided to extend the above mentioned special trains for the winter holiday breaks.
