Authentic Aboriginal Arts and Crafts. Whether you're in the mood for some retail therapy, or just want to find out all about the Aboriginal culture, this fascinating store is the ideal place to visit. Located in Melbourne's popular Queen Victoria Market, the store is a veritable treasure trove of Aboriginal items, including contemporary artwork created by local artists, pottery, books, clothing, canvas prints and didgeridoo. Everything here is handmade by Aboriginals and completely authentic.
Owner Julie Peers, who is a Victorian Aborigine, delights in offering a true insight into her fascinating culture. She also guarantees the authenticity of the items sold in her store. In fact, many of the artworks on display are produced by Aboriginal artists who live in the Melbourne area. A visit here is not only entertaining; it's also educational and great fun. And you can pick up some excellent souvenirs while you're visiting too. A 'must visit' location if ever there was one.
