For just $6 for adults and free for children, Edmonton residents and visitors can take a ride through history along the high-level bridge streetcar route. The Radial Railway system is famous in Canada because of its unique streetcar ride over the Saskatchewan River that is actually one of the highest streetcar river crossings in the world. This particular bridge was opened in 1913 and passengers got to experience the incredible views over the river. The streetcars ran until 1951, but were sadly abandoned. Thanks to those volunteers because of whom the streetcars have been restored and now visitors can take a ride on this incredible high bridge crossing and experience the same spectacular views as passengers during those days did. It operates daily from May until September and takes around 40 min or so for a round trip and is a great and cheap way to experience the history of Edmonton’s rails.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
