The sprawling campus of the Indira Gandhi Centre for the Arts in the heart of the city, an institution set up in the memory of Indira Gandhi, just off the cross roads of Le Meriden Hotel and Janpath has seen many a confluence of art fairs, workshops, artists and crafts persons from across the length and breadth of the country. It has a uniquely multidisciplinary approach towards the arts and seeks to promote and nurture all these forms. The IGNCA also has its own library and an enviable collection of books that enthusiasts of art can browse through. Take a day off and soak in the ambience, participate in the ongoing events (IGNCA has a very busy calendar indeed) and engage with the many artists that congregate here on a daily basis for you never know when you could get up close and personal with them again.
