Macy's Herald Square

Located on the bustling 34th Street, the planet’s biggest department store can seem like a universe all its own. With a million square feet of space for merchandise, the nine sprawling floors offer practically everything you could want—cosmetics and colognes, prom gowns, ties, sofas and much more—attracting thousands of tourists and locals who pass through its rotating doors daily. Macy’s also houses a respected cooking school, De Gustibus, on its basement level, where you can also pick up a stockpot or a chef’s knife to test out your newfound culinary skills.
