Get your green and gold clothing ready as you prepare to cheer on the Edmonton Eskimos, Edmonton’s only CFL team. This Canadian football team has been drawing in fans from all over Edmonton year after year, and going to watch a game continues to be one of the favorite things to do during the summer. Commonwealth Stadium is where they play and it seats about 60,000 fans, so you can expect a wild and rowdy afternoon. If you have family in tow, make sure to grab a seat in the family friendly zone where alcohol is prohibited, and fans are a little quieter. You will want to bring your raincoat if the weather seems dicey, as only a few sections of stadium are covered. If you don’t know anything about Canadian football, then there are plenty of fans who are ready to explain everything to you, and help you along the game. We do suggest going early, grabbing some food from the concession, and walking around the stadium as there are often fun events for the whole family to partake in.
