Simply put, in mid-May, Point Pelee is the place to be for migrant landbirds in eastern North America. It is the best place to see concentrations of spring plumage warblers and other songbirds under ideal conditions—the birds being low to the ground and the vegetation being friendly to the observer. The best time to be here is in the early morning between 10-30 May. Another bonus is the aggregation of friendly and expert birders who flock to Point Pelee every morning during this period. Specialties that visitors look for include Connecticut, Cape May, and Kirtland's warbler.
