Built over 16.5 acres, using green technology such as fly ash bricks for construction, the structure has solar energy provisions that are sufficient to power its lighting needs. It uses water management systems such as rainwater harvesting for reducing wastage and recycling. There is a sewage treatment plant with a capacity for treating 200,000 litres per day. The building has integrated photo-voltaic cells that enable the stadium to feed power back into the grid. It also has its own gas turbine for emergency power backup. Read less
