Considered as one of the finest cactus nurseries in Asia, Kalimpong is a must visit for plant lovers. It is fascinating to see almost 2000 varieties of cacti, ranging from the simple to the most exotic ones at one place. The collection is spellbinding. Depending on the variety, the price ranges from as low as Rs. 50 to a few lacs! It has been developed and maintained as a private venture; hence, the nursery is well maintained.Did you know that Kalimpong produces 80% of India's gladiolas and is an important orchid growing area? I guess not, just like me! Sri Ganesh Moni Pradhan Nursery and Udai Mani Pradhan Nursery are worth visiting.
Tip: If you plan a trip in October, you will get to attend the famous flower festival.
