An abandoned elevated railroad converted into a public park, the High Line is one of the city’s most innovative projects. It has numerous vantage points for surveying the Hudson River and surrounding high-rises, and sundecks and benches for lounging. This is also the place to see some of the most exciting graffiti and public art installations in the city. Stop for a snack break at one of the food stands, which offer everything from Mexican fare to artisanal ice creams, gourmet coffee and grilled meats.
