This mid-level spa in Chiang Mai’s Old City is the perfect spot to be if you’re looking for a lovely experience but don’t want to be dropping money on luxury treatments. Deep Relax offers a wide selection of basic spa treatments, including a variety of Thai massages, facials, body scrubs, aromatherapy and oil massages, manicures and pedicures, and waxing services. For just a few dollars more than some of the basic local massage shops that are a dime a dozen (and vary in quality), you get a beautifully decorated private room and soothing atmosphere. Keep an eye on the packages offered and get discounts on massages and body treatment combinations. The spa now has several branches throughout the Old City, but the best and busiest is its original location right on the popular Sunday Walking Street. You can simply walk in to book a service on the spot but in the evening, and especially during the high season, it tends to fill up. Make sure you’re not disappointed and book ahead! Moreover, if you book early, the spa will have a driver come pick you up from your hotel and drop you back after your massage―very convenient!
