In 1983 the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market started in a parking lot, with only 10 vendors, a typical start to any market that was new. Since then this market has grown into an impressive year-round market that operates on Saturdays from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Located in the “Old Bus Barns” this market now has over 300 vendors that rotate between the 185 stalls that are available. Some of the most popular sellers include those who sell freshly baked bread and goods, local wares, and fresh fruits and veggies. Another popular market that only operates in the summer is the 124th Grand Market. This isn’t your typical farmers market as it features more than just vendors. Come spend the day at this market and take in the local musicians playing live music, the ever-changing food trucks, talented artists that work, and entertainers. The 124 Grand Market operates every Thursday evening, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm from May until October.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
