The government has already issued restriction orders when it comes to pandal hopping and the most-awaited dandiya nights have been cancelled too. However, one can enjoy the festivities, travel around, be happy and still be Corona safe, if they follow all the health precautions issued by the government.
Here are a few quick tips:
1) Social distancing: Social distancing is one of the most crucial things to stay away from the viirus. To ensure safety while visiting a pandal, make sure you maintain a minimum of six feet distance from others.
3) Opt for Namaste: Gone are the days when people would hug each other and display their affection. Fold your hands in namaste and wish a Happy Durga Ashtami.
4) Carry a hand sanitiser: Always carry a pocket-size hand sanitiser. Even if you touch the idols or other common surfaces, make sure you sanitise your hand soon after because you certainly don’t want to add to the virus numbers.
5) Avoid eating outside: Indian festivals are all about good food among other things; but this time, try and avoid eating outside. A little carelessness might cause a long term medical issue!
6) Online darshans: A number of pandals are offering online darshans, which is a fantastic way of celebrating the festival without risking your health. All you need to do is get a good Wi-Fi connection!
Other than these precautions, avoid crowded places, do not visit markets or choose early mornings or irregular times if you have to visit, send your wishes online rather than visiting people; of course, step out only when it's essential, for prevention is way better than cure this time.
